Modern Family episode takes place entirely on OS X desktop

This is one of my favorite shows currently on television. It never fails to deliver smart humor and situational comedy relevant to today's current society, and next Wednesday's episode looks to be no different. The entire episode will take place entirely on an Apple OS X desktop environment overlaid with footage shot exclusively on iPhone 6s, "new iPads," and Macbook Pros. The footage was shot on the actual devices, with camera crews holding phones on actors' behalf and then filming simultaneous scenes in various locations to mimic the feeling of talking through video chat. The plot   will center around Claire (played by Julie Bowen) trying to track down her daughter after a fight, and viewers will see the episode unfold from her laptop's primary screen while e-mails, Facetime calls, and texts pop up to tell jokes. The producers made it clear they drew inspiration from "Noah," a 17-minute short film from 2013 that also took place entirely on an OS X desktop. I don't know about you, but I will definitely be watching this episode! #MWTG325
